UN POEMA Y UNA CANCIÓN

STANDARDS

Polvo de estrellas. Hojas de otoño. Ayeres.
Tiernamente, preludio a un beso.
Tú, abrazarte. Déjame recorrer con mis dedos
los altibajos de tu perfil, la aventura,
       pasos
                 de
gigante
    triste
             tren
de tu espalda, de tu cadera, swing. ¡Swing!
a mi exilio sombrío

STANDARDS

Stardust. Autumn leaves. Yesterdays.
Tenderly, prelude to a Kiss. Tenderly.
Embraceable you. Let me walk with my fingers
ups and downs of your profile, adventure,
      giant
                steps
                           blue
                                    train
your back, your hip, swing.Swing!
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing.
The glorious black and white in the morning
brings me back old photos on your skin,
pictures that are still something new, but beautiful.
I got you under my skin, body and soul.
Among my favorites things are your angel eyes,
the way you look tonight, the way you give / ask
all or nothing at all. Your cravings.
Fly me to the moon, Peel me a grape,
cry me a river.
When the light are down, discreet,
I find my instincts in the shadow of your smile
let me play with your secrets, play
the lips to a one-note samba,
that changes your voice, play
melodies you know and I improvise
like Sonny.
Every time we say goodbye, I return
to my dark exile
East of the sun, West of the moon.
